Journey to Bruny Island, arguably one of Tasmania’s best day tours and immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery of world-class beaches, rugged coastlines, mesmerising lookouts, and award-winning local produce. Wellington (1272m), where you’ll enjoy Tasmania’s pristine air and stunning panoramic views of Hobart—perfect for a selfie! As we descend, your guide will take you on a loop through Hobart’s city highlights, sharing stories behind its historic landmarks and vibrant culture. Next, explore Salamanca Market (Saturdays only), a vibrant showcase of Tasmanian art, produce, buskers, and souvenirs. We then journey through the Coal River Valley wine region, stopping at Wicked Cheese for a complimentary tasting. In historic Richmond, admire Australia’s oldest bridge and church, with time for lunch and optional tastings at Drink Tasmania. Immerse yourself in the rich history of the Port Arthur Historic Site, which includes a captivating harbour cruise. Spend the Morning indulging in delicious local produce with visits to the Chocolate Factory (own cost) and Lavender Farm (own cost). If history is what you came for, enjoy the full 4 hours exploring the historic site. If you are up for one more experience, then you can hop back onboard the bus after 3 hours for a trip to the Remarkable Cave. Just a short 8-minute drive away, you will be greeted with the spectacular vista of Maingon Bay. Sit back, relax, and let us take you back in time on this fully guided journey to experience some of Tasmania’s most significant convict history. ⏰ 9:30 am – 5:30 pm ✔ Hotel pickup/drop-off ✔ Port Arthur entry ✖ Meals not included Day 4: Hastings Caves & Tahune Airwalk Our first stop is Huonville, where you'll have a chance to grab a takeaway coffee and stock up on any essentials for the day. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic drive along the beautiful Huon River. As you sip your coffee, you'll hear tales about why this area is famous for its apple orchards, craft cider makers, boutique winemakers, and salmon production. Next, we arrive at the Tahune Airwalk, where you'll have two glorious hours to explore this spectacular region. Choose one or all three of the walks on offer. After lunch, it's time to venture further south to the magical Hastings Caves, where you'll marvel at the underground wonders of Australia's largest dolomite cave. The order of the tours may vary depending on availability and your start date. Hobart Highlights run on Saturdays and Tuesdays only and are fixed days. The full 4-day experience begins every Friday and Sunday, so please plan your arrival accordingly. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included from selected locations, but pickup times and exact locations may vary based on where you’re staying. Accommodation is not included in this bundle, giving you the freedom to pick the hotel that best suits your travel style. We offer pickups from most hotels in and around Hobart.
