Stretching over twenty kilometers south of Rangiroa island, this coral formation also called "FEO" in "Paumotu" (Tuamotu language) is also important and exceptional, because it serves as a barrier against the strong southern winter swell, thus slowing down the erosion of our "motu" (islets).
