The best food stops are in Hawi or Waimea Town. There’s only one hike on this tour: the Pololu Valley Hike. This is a 0.9-mile round-trip hike that’s considered moderate due to its steep elevation. Kohala Welcome Center is the only public restroom in Hawi Town. It’s open Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Travelers must have a smartphone compatible with the Shaka Guide app. The app must be downloaded and the tour redeemed before arrival. Strong Wi-Fi or cellular data is required to download the tour in advance. Location services (GPS) must be enabled on the device Travelers are responsible for securing any required entrance passes, reservations, or permits before starting
