The Experience

Do you know the legend about a witch who once cursed Toruń with a plague of frogs — and a violin-playing raftsman who led them away? Or the story that Napoleon allegedly crawled out of a Toruń tavern on all fours? This self-guided audio walking tour takes you through 800 years of stories hidden in the Gothic streets of Toruń's UNESCO Old Town. From the birthplace of Copernicus to Teutonic castle ruins, you'll hear legends, scandals, and secrets that most visitors walk right past — including the dark truth behind a bronze donkey and a bell said to delay the end of the world. Unlike a group tour, you can go at your own pace. Pause to climb a tower, step into a gingerbread museum, or grab a drink at a 500-year-old inn. The tour covers 3 km with 15+ stops and works beautifully as a morning or afternoon walk. Available in 9 languages with offline access — just download and go.
