Know before you go

Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap Specialized infant seats are available Suitable for all physical fitness levels Every September, a growing colony of friendly Magellanic penguins settles in El Pedral. A guided walk among their nests will allow you to get to know those curious animals better. El Pedral maintains a beach control and cleaning scheme, also collaborating with the GPS foundation (Global Penguin Society), which monitors the Magellanic penguin colony in Punta Ninfas. Just 15 minutes from the stay, high on the cliff at the southern end of the New Gulf mouth, is the Punta Ninfas lighthouse. Valuable reference for navigators entering the New Gulf, it also fulfills its faithful duty as a watcher of the arrival of the first whales to the gulf each year, on the cold days of May. The view from the cliff of the Punta Ninfas lighthouse will make you feel privileged, part of a different, magical, and incredible landscape. Passengers can observe Elephant Seal colonies, take a guided tour among the Magellanic Penguin nests, and finally eat a traditional lamb roast at the Ranch and enjoy the pool during the summer months. Our excursion to see the penguin colony of El Pedral is a full day and is specially adapted for cruise passengers. The pick-up and drop-off service at the port of Puerto Madryn is organized according to the arrival and departure times of each cruise, so we adjust the tour itinerary based on the schedule of each ship, ensuring that you can enjoy the experience with complete peace of mind and return on time.
