During the summer and on weekends, traffic can be heavier, especially along the frontage road between Shell Beach and Avila Beach. Riders should be comfortable sharing the road and making turns across traffic when needed.
  • Electric bikes are heavier and faster than traditional pedal bikes, so good balance and basic bike-handling skills are essential for a safe and enjoyable experience.
