Really enjoyed our stay. The property has a very natural feel and isn’t overly commercialized, which we appreciated. It’s not the kind of place where everything is polished and perfect, but that’s exactly what gives it its charm. It has a very homely feel that shows comfort can be found where nature's serenity meets your mind.

A very refreshing stay. The villa is spacious and the setting is beautiful. We enjoyed the bonfire, the pool, and simply doing nothing for a change. Not a luxury resort experience, but a genuine nature retreat, which is what we were after.

Where you'll be
Approximate area shown. The exact address is shared once your booking is confirmed.
The neighbourhood
The farm sits on the quieter Raigad side of the Lonavala plateau, away from the market crowds. It is open country — terraced fields, mango and chikoo trees, and the Sahyadri ridgeline directly across the valley. Evenings are genuinely dark and quiet; you will hear nightjars rather than traffic. Tiger's Leap and Bushi Dam are a short drive, and the old Lonavala bazaar is about 25 minutes away.
Getting around
A car is the easiest way to do this trip — roughly 2 hours from Mumbai and 2.5 from Pune via the Mumbai–Pune Expressway, and the final kilometre is an unpaved farm track that a sedan handles fine in dry weather. Lonavala railway station is about 30 minutes away and the team can arrange a pickup with a day's notice. Once you are here most of the property is walkable, but taxis are scarce, so keep a vehicle if you plan to explore.
Meet your host
Shivani Behl
owner
Shivani runs 5 Elements as a working farm first and a guesthouse second. Mornings start with whatever has just been picked — she will happily walk you through the orchard and the vegetable beds, and the kitchen cooks around what is in season. She lives on the property with her family, so someone is always nearby if you need something, and she is happiest when guests treat the place like a home rather than a hotel.
